Due to the epidemiology emergency, the event was reframed from what was initially foreseen. In the academic context inventions related to software are recurring and especially young future entrepreneurs are dealing with inventions related to the software.
Mitiga Solutions and Nearby Computing, two Barcelona-based start-ups that will be invited to talk about how they are re-defining data management for natural hazards and smart industries/cities with their software-based solution.
From the perspective of sharing experiences on how to promote intellectual property rights in the academic context, the event shows how young researchers are dealing with software-based inventions in the context of UPC University.
