EPO and EUIPO joint study on IP rights and firm performance in the EU

A news study entitled “Intellectual property rights and firm performance in the EUreleased by EUIPO and EPO highlights the strong and positive relationship between the ownership of IP rights and the economic performances of firms. Companies that own at least one patent, registered design, or trademark generate 20% higher revenues per employee than their counterparts without an IP portfolio. As pointed out by similar studies published in recent times, there is clear evidence about the positive link between Intellectual Property rights and economic performances.
