A recent research study carried out by EUIPO analyses the economic impact of the COVID-19 crisis on industries that use intellectual property rights (IPRs) including trade marks, designs, patents and copyright, intensively.
Although IPR-intensive industries have suffered the consequences of the lockdowns in the EU more than the rest of the economy, they also show a higher resilience to economic downturns.
