Last 10th June the 2020 Status Report on IPR infringement was published by the EUIPO, the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights.
This report collates the reporting work of the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights up to the second quarter of 2020, poiting out why IP rights are important, the current status on IPR infringement and the fight against counterfeiting and piracy.
The report stresses the risks caused by counterfeits to consumers: 97% of recorded dangerous counterfeit goods were assessed as posing a serious risk!
